Just a few words about my technique.
I use both classical and modern art techniques in my works. Most of them can be classified as “mixed media”. It
comprises painting, graphics, photos, collages, sometimes sculptures. Each work is created in its unique technique
that’s why it is hard to assign a particular one to them.
For instance, “Submergence” and “Two fractals” were created as follows: based on the mathematic assumptions a
virtual sculpture was created (please see more details in Series 1 of the site), then “live” objects were added
(pilgrims in “Submergence” and a baobab in “Two fractals”), finally the composition was transferred to canvas
and done with oils.
As for “Key matrix” of Series 2: a digital close-up of several elements of the keys were shot and composed into
a collage. The collage elements correspond to 0 and 1 in binary code, so that they encode a certain word.
Then the collage was transferred to canvas, amplified with acryl and a touch of acrylic gel and in the end several
elements of the collage acquire some volume.
I invent a unique technique for each work in order to reach the utmost effect. Very often I use unusual things such
as “liquid crystals”, “metal gel”. Sometimes I develop some materials. For example, one of my works is done with
a mixture of glue and small metal screws and nuts. Also a lot of works are provided as limited edition prints.
